About Ash House
Ash House is an early Victorian mill owner's residence overlooking fields and countryside on the outskirts of Holmfirth but just ten minutes' walk from shops, cafes and restaurants in the centre of the famous Summer Wine town. The house has ample off road parking and large, attractive gardens and is a suitable start point for a number of scenic country walks, for which we are happy to provide maps and guide books.
Full English breakfasts are cooked in an AGA in a traditional kitchen using ingredients from national award winning butcher Brindon Addy who is supplied exclusively by local farms. Vegetarian breakfast is also offered. For lunches and evening meals we can recommend several excellent restaurants and cafes in the town and you will find links to several of these businesses on the Links page of our website.
Accommodation is in the form of a spacious three room suite in an extension to the main property and a twin room in the main house. The suite comprises a large double bedroom with sitting area (19' x 13'3"), en-suite shower room with toilet and wash basin and also a generous private lounge / dining room (23' x 14'4"). The lounge makes the suite ideal for relaxing in the evening and as a daytime base for visitors staying for a few days. The twin room measures 14'3" x 13'4" and features an en-suite toilet, wash basin and bath. Guests in the twin room are served breakfast in the main house dining room. Our rooms are equipped with televisions and tea and coffee making facilities.
As has always been the case, Ash House is, first and foremost, a family home and it is our intention to offer a high standard of service with a friendly and personal touch. We look forward to meeting you.
